Some of you may have been aware that Fucked Up last month, played a ‘12 hour long’ set in New York, featuring among others J.Mascis of Dinosaur Jr and Deep Wound. Although the set wasn’t quite a literal 12 hour performance, with guests filling in gaps whilst the band took rests etc. it’s still pretty impressive, slightly mental, and serves to underline just why this band are fucking awesome.
Check out this video of Moby joining the band on a cover of ‘Blitzkreig Bop’. Yeah its Moby, and yeah hes a dickhead, but its still pretty cool.
Fucked Up have a new album out now entitled ‘The Chemistry of Common Life’. I haven’t heard it yet, but you should definitely buy it or something. Expect a review when it comes in the post. They also recently graced the cover of NME, which isnt really relevant, I just wanted to mention it.
Catch them on tour this November, it’ll be great.
